When any of us Morris girls are invited to a shower, we always like to get a gift with a big AWWWW!!! factor. You know, something that gets big raves when it is opened. Of course anything hand-knitted is always a shoe in. So when my daughter, Elizabeth, was invited to a baby shower she asked me to make something. I made a bib from Mason-Dixon Knitting and bootees.
Well, the bib provided plenty of AWWW!! I really thought the booties would get the most attention, but she said everyone went nuts over the bib. Which is great as it's such an easy thing to knit up quickly. I added a second color and a row of k2tog and yo to weave the ribbon into. The ribbon says "It's a girl."
The booties are Two Needle Cable Baby Booties from Knitting on the Net in Dreambaby DK. I used the same ribbon to tie them.
